What is a functional mushroom?
Functional mushrooms are types of fungi that provide immense health benefits for immunity, cognition, energy and overall well being.
What is mycelium?
Mycelium is often referred to as the mushroom’s root system because it behaves similarly, collecting nutrients and water and keeping the mushroom anchored to the earth.
What are adaptogens?
Adaptogens are specific plants that help the body resist the damaging effects of physical, chemical, or biological stress. Including functional mushrooms into your daily routine can help the body adapt to stress, improving performance and vitality in everyday life.
What are Beta-D-gulcans?
Beta-D-glucans are polysaccharides that occur naturally in the cell walls of functional mushrooms. Beta-D-glucans are known as ‘Biological Response Modifiers’ and work by either stimulating an increased immune response, or suppressing an overactive one.
What is Miron glass?
Not only does it look great, Miron violet glass helps preserve and protect the functional mushroom powders from all visible light, whilst still allowing ultraviolet (UV), infrared (IR) and violet lights in. We recommend saving your Miron glass jars and repurposing them.
Are your products vegan?
YES! All our products are vegan-friendly.
Are your products gluten-free?
All our products are gluten-free except for the DIY Bircher Muesli Mix.
Are your products nut-free?
The only non nut-free products we offer are the Reishi Hot Chocolatte mix and the Shroomin’ Sprinkle.

Sourcing
Are your products Australian grown?
Yes! Our mushies are Australian grown in Yarra Valley, Victoria.
Are the mushrooms sourced sustainably?
When sourcing our mushrooms we made it our priority to ensure that they were grown chemical free and in a pristine environment. The mushrooms we use are grown on a substrate of organic brown rice, which is consumed by the mushroom as food.
To increase bioavailability of active ingredients, the mushrooms are cooked then freeze dried and ground into powder. Our mushroom powders are 100% wholefoods, containing actual mushroom and mycelium unlike “extract powders” which are only the water-soluble elements of the fruit body.
Do you use the fruiting body or mycelium in your mushroom powders?
Both! We incorporate both the mushroom mycelium and fruiting body into our powders to capture a wider range of beneficial nutrients, which in turn, offers potent immunological support.
Is your packaging environmentally friendly/sustainable?
We are currently researching and trialling different pouches (REDcycle / home-recycleable / home compostable) to find the most suitable for our products, for our customers and for the environment. The pouches are designed to be purchased as a refill for the jars to reduce energy and waste.
We also offer Miron violet or clear glass jars for most products that can be refilled at our market stalls (on request) or by purchasing a 'refill' pouch. Alternatively, they can be repurposed for another use at home!
All our labels (where possible) are FSC certified,
elemental chlorine free, printed using vegetable inks and are home-recycleable.
Usage
How long will my product last?
The length of time your products last for depends on how the product is being stored and how much is being used each day.
Our 100g pouches of functional mushroom powder allow for around 50 serves (½ teaspoon) while our sample jars offer 7 serves (½ teaspoon serve) per jar allowing for a one-week supply.
When will I see results?
While it may vary between individuals, most people notice visible benefits after 5-7 consecutive days of use.
What time of day should I get my shroom hit?
Functional mushrooms can be enjoyed at any time of the day, so we recommend finding a time that best fits into your daily routine and will allow you to see the benefits you’re hoping for.
Can I take more than one powder at once?
You sure can! Our Daily Blend incorporates all three of our functional mushroom powders for you to receive an extensive array of health benefits with ease.
How much should I take?
We recommend taking ½-1 teaspoon of our functional mushroom powders daily, however, you can enjoy the powders multiple times throughout the day. For serving suggestions on our blends please refer to the product page or label as this may vary between product.
Delivery/Pickup
What payment options do you offer?
We currently accept credit card and PayPal as payment options.
How long does shipping take?
We know you're excited to get your products and we can’t wait for you to try them!
Generally standard delivery takes around 5-7 days while express is between 2-3 days for orders placed by 12pm.
We’ll do our best to get your mushies to you as soon as possible, however, please be mindful of delivery delays outside of our control.
How much does shipping cost?
We offer standard shipping across Australia for a flat rate price of $10 or free on orders over $100.
International orders have a flat rate of $30 per order.
Can I pick up my products instead of delivery?
You sure can! Collection is available on Tuesday & Thursday from 9am - 5pm from our office space located on Pulteney street in the Adelaide CBD.
What if I receive the wrong product?
We take great care in packing your order to ensure that you receive all your mushies, but sometimes accidents do happen. In this case, please email us at info@acaciablends.com.au and we’ll help sort it out for you.
Please ensure items not ordered remain unopened and in original packaging.
Do you offer refunds/returns?
We want you to love and enjoy your mushrooms as mush as we do. Please email us at info@acaciablends.com.au with any concerns or queries about your products, we’re always happy to chat!
Do you have stockists?
Our products are currently available for purchase from wellness practitioner Samantha Dawn’s clinic in Unley, South Australia. We hope to expand this list very soon!
What type of shipping packaging material and service do you use?
As always we try to do our bit for the environment anywhere possible. Our shipping packaging is eco-friendly, using 100% biodegradable, compostable satchels.
